Right now I’m working on this post.
Earlier today I was working on leading the Mongolian civilization to victory. (New phone app.)
The last couple of weeks I’ve been working on filling my fly boxes for an up-coming trip to Wisconsin.
I should be working on my casting every chance I get, but I don’t.
And I’m always working on keeping the house clean, keeping the children fed and keeping my patients.
casting, shmasting ! how did you fare with the Mongolians ?
I, their strong and noble Khan, led them to almost completely dominate the world.
i bow to you, Oh Big One !
what part did you miss ? Detroit ?
Ha!
Paris, Orleans and Nice actually.
damn ! lesson learned i hope. wipe out the french first !
Yeah, more about the Mongol hoards!
I have no idea what you’re talking about, but leading Mongolian hoards to end the world as we know it seems a valid plan.
You’re still alive! Where in the hell have you been?
oh, I’m back from the moving inferno. spent all my time carrying heavy stuff in hellish staircases. serves me well to have so much books.
That’s the number 1 reason I broke down and got a kindle.
alas, I’m stuck with what sartre would have aptly called the bourgeois idea of a bookshelf as public display of culture, in the form of private property of books.
a very silly idea if you ask me, but I was born in it. I enjoy the look of them, and then guilt over the pleasure.
We’re also guilty of that in my home. My wife is a librarian so we haven’t gotten rid of any print books, but we have quit adding to them… sort of.
